ME ON THE INSIDE OUT

Hey guys, so as you can see from the title this  is a self-appreciation post that everyone should read cause it’s a small thing I’ve learnt and something I really hope you guys will read over again when you feel like you’re not enough.

Over the last few years in my life my physical has changed a lot, I had hair a while back in I think 12th grade but cut it by January 2016, fortunately it grew and by April of that year I had hair again, so I kept it, relished in the different hairstyles id do, if you know me you’d know I’m not afraid to do any color, except pink or purple that is. Now I cut my hair, and a lot of people have the typical black girl image in mind, yunno, beyonce Rihanna, zendaya, yara, etc or the ones with long ass natural hair and I have punk. Funny enough though contrary to popular belief I do not want to be a boy, I feel beautiful with or without my hair, so yeah I don’t have it, oh well.

I know how a lot of people change themselves so they fit in, struggle with weight, skinniness, skin color etc. and I know how hard it is. We’ve like heard of girls gagging themselves to look like the models in the magazines or surgeries to have certain people’s nose or lips and that’s another level of insecurity. I am one for free will, but then not to the extreme, you can do your hair in a certain way because you like it, heck you can wear baggy shirts cause you’re comfortable, you can wear a crop top if you have a fat stomach cause to you it doesn’t matter and I do believe it doesn’t. What’s important is how you are UNAPOLOGETICALLY  YOU!!!!

Fun fact you don’t have to be like everyone else, we weren’t made to look exactly like each other, I think the best thing about humans is the diversity in us cause everyone is different and has something to bring the the party.  Something I feel I have asked and I know that a lot of people might still me skeptical about is being you, people go, what does that really mean. Well, being yourself is understanding you’re not perfect, you’re not like everyone else and saying you know what I don’t care, its making decisions that are only influenced by the bible or your parents and that you’re comfortable in your own skin and the way you are.

Also, before I go, there’s this thing, about your mind and your body and your spirit being one, this comes in to play very greatly here. There’s this undeniable glow that exudes itself when you’re comfortable and you’re at peace, need proof perhaps? When a bride goes on the honeymoon and comes back notice them, they start to shine more, because they are more at peace. So you guys just have to understand that how to feel about yourself comes first so love yourself the way you are and don’t be in a hurry to change.

Below is my new look so you know you can still look beautiful if you're satisfied, some days yeah I don't feel good and I don't look goodπŸ˜‚ we call it a bad picture day, but I realized when I'm happy then... Well tadaaaa

I think I look really goodπŸ˜‚

I used to be ashamed of being who I want to be You think because I’m a woman then I really can’t be me  You think cause I’m black then I really can’t be free  Well screw all your stereotypes cause God loves all equally I wanna be the president I really want to rule  Not cause I think I’m better cause I know what I can do  Cause every life we lose it makes me feel so confused Like is this really what my country has amounted to This isn’t just a poem  It’s a clear out declaration  I am Nigerian it’s my home and it’s my nation  I’m tired of killings and I’m tired of the pain  I’m 18 and I’m scared will I see the next day  Will I see my matriculation, my certification or convocation, or will I make it to my next birthday This is a call to everyone who thinks that they can do better  Everyone who knows now won’t be forever  When you leave your country you open doors up There’s evil there’...
Hey guysssss Its me again😌😌😌 Well I'm guessing you knew that since you are on my blog and whatnot soπŸ˜‚ Okay so I wanted to do this as a middle of the year post since at my church we are going to have a massive Sunday on the 25th just praising God and going all out for keeping us till the middle of yet another year. Uhm, so I will be going to the university soon, and honestly, I haven't gotten admission yet, cause the lists aren't out for my school and all, but people always question my choice, like "Obehi why that school?" "Do you know how hard it is to get it" "The partiality is too much etc. Well they're all right and I get it, I do appreciate the concern but everything is human worry, and human mentality, what we see as a mountain from down here, God sees it as a little rock. And I just wanted to do this today since I had this surge of energy and encouragement to write. This year, it seemed to me like the devil was purposely...

BOOK REVIWS

HI HI HI HI HI☺☺☺☺☺☺ I am back from the land of bloggers block and I’m here to do book reviews, think of it as a valentines treat. For those who are like me and aren’t planning on turning up tomorrow, or doing anything social except social networking, and of course socializing with family…(UGH!) curling up with a good book is always a valentineπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’“πŸ’“πŸ’“πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’žπŸ’žπŸ’žπŸ’ŸπŸ’ŸπŸ’ŸπŸ’‹πŸ’‹ treat. I am obsessed with books that actually have their own movies which is why we see MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA This book is fantastic, I read it and I kept on reading it, the writer Arthur Golden is really golden. The Asian culture has always been beautiful to me so seeing it here has been a lovely literary experience, a core favorite of mine is how he shows the utmost transition from a poor girl in a fishing village to one of the best geisha in all of Japan, though she is drenched is modesty and she gives a classic line that I do take as a personal phras...
