IMPACTING SOCIETY #stuffmatters

✊✊✊✊

HI HI HI HI

I feel extremely professional doing this post and that’s because as you can see from the title, this is some serious stuff. I am one to definitely mess around and have fun and I act like I don’t get sensitive and I do, really stuff matters. It doesn’t matter how old you are or of it relates to you, it does.

So I’m not going to be my usual cherry self. I love to mess around but also when things get serious, I do too.

When I grow up I want to work in children and youth development all over the world, I wanted to specify in just art, but art most definitely is not the only way children and youth can be developed in our generation. Funny, I’ve heard a lot of trash talked about how our generation isn’t as bright as the previous generation and isn’t going to do as much things, and it does hurt, I hope I’m getting some people’s attention on this, having your generation be seen as the one generation that “ won’t have anything to pass on the next generation” man.. That’s offensive as hell, but see thing is that genuinely we have been trained in leaving it all to the adults, you want to get stuff done you have to ask those older than you for it. Today I got sent a video of Michelle Obamas last speech as first lady of the USA it really spoke to me. (She will be missed, the legacy she has left shall forever be honored).

In my country, we have the notion that we are what they we are, and I don’t appreciate that thought. Every youth is too busy following trends to create trends of their own. The economy isn’t what it used to be and I can understand this, but yet, this is our country, you have no other home. So an idea, instead of sitting there and complaining the way the adults are, get up and do something about it. I remember last year talking to my dad about getting a job, he said no, but bus reason made me understand why. My dad and my mom both run their own businesses and they encouraged me to never be satisfied working for somebody else, it’s the same as trying to actualize someone else’s dream, no one wants their own passion to be sidelined for anther persons.
Art has been an amazing medium for everything I believe in, art is not just a thing it’s a way of life. Everything is pure creativity.

What I’m getting at is, don’t be a follower, make trends, and start up things that will help you as well as help other people, don’t just sit there and be sidelined as the worst generation ever, stand up and create things, grow, lean, experience. I believe in my generation, I believe in us, in youths in pace setters in us. Each person on earth has a God given talent and gift that has been blessed by those we surround ourselves with, every teacher, every mentor, every book, every song, every swipe, every stroke every encounter hast either taken a little piece of us or blessed us with much more.  I am happy to say that I have mostly be blessed. So I challenge you today to not be the crowd.

I used to be ashamed of being who I want to be You think because I’m a woman then I really can’t be me  You think cause I’m black then I really can’t be free  Well screw all your stereotypes cause God loves all equally I wanna be the president I really want to rule  Not cause I think I’m better cause I know what I can do  Cause every life we lose it makes me feel so confused Like is this really what my country has amounted to This isn’t just a poem  It’s a clear out declaration  I am Nigerian it’s my home and it’s my nation  I’m tired of killings and I’m tired of the pain  I’m 18 and I’m scared will I see the next day  Will I see my matriculation, my certification or convocation, or will I make it to my next birthday This is a call to everyone who thinks that they can do better  Everyone who knows now won’t be forever  When you leave your country you open doors up There’s evil there’...
Hey guysssss Its me again😌😌😌 Well I'm guessing you knew that since you are on my blog and whatnot so😂 Okay so I wanted to do this as a middle of the year post since at my church we are going to have a massive Sunday on the 25th just praising God and going all out for keeping us till the middle of yet another year. Uhm, so I will be going to the university soon, and honestly, I haven't gotten admission yet, cause the lists aren't out for my school and all, but people always question my choice, like "Obehi why that school?" "Do you know how hard it is to get it" "The partiality is too much etc. Well they're all right and I get it, I do appreciate the concern but everything is human worry, and human mentality, what we see as a mountain from down here, God sees it as a little rock. And I just wanted to do this today since I had this surge of energy and encouragement to write. This year, it seemed to me like the devil was purposely...

BOOK REVIWS

HI HI HI HI HI☺☺☺☺☺☺ I am back from the land of bloggers block and I’m here to do book reviews, think of it as a valentines treat. For those who are like me and aren’t planning on turning up tomorrow, or doing anything social except social networking, and of course socializing with family…(UGH!) curling up with a good book is always a valentine💚💚💚💙💙💙💛💛💜💜💗💗💗💖💖💕💕💓💓💓💝💝💝💞💞💞💟💟💟💋💋 treat. I am obsessed with books that actually have their own movies which is why we see MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA This book is fantastic, I read it and I kept on reading it, the writer Arthur Golden is really golden. The Asian culture has always been beautiful to me so seeing it here has been a lovely literary experience, a core favorite of mine is how he shows the utmost transition from a poor girl in a fishing village to one of the best geisha in all of Japan, though she is drenched is modesty and she gives a classic line that I do take as a personal phras...
