Peace in the Pandemic

Hey everybody, Obehi here. I don’t think I need to explain why I haven’t been active and all.

This has been a very trying time for all of us, as humans as Nigerians, just in general. I’m sending out my love to those who need it, because something I’ve realized is how social media is being misused. Spoken as somebody with extreme anxiety the things we consume online affects us greatly and I know for a fact those that aren’t very mentally healthy aren’t taken into consideration. I am not here to lecture you about the virus, I’m sure you receive that a lot. I’m here to do my part and spread as much love and possible.

So I’m here with a couple of fun and productive activities you can do with the internet or without the internet in this quarantine period. Hopefully I’ll take some of the stress away with this.

1. Start or join a fun group chat: So This is pretty easy and fun way to kill time, opening a group chat with a lot of your friends. You guys can share stories, jokes, memes all of that especially if you have the same interests
2. Starting an exercise plan: now because physical activities have been reduced we can predict that most of us that don’t metabolize as fast or even those that do will need a little trimming, I suggest jogging or if you have a home gym use it
3. Learning a new skill: Although this seems boring it’s not. Firstly pick something you’ve always wanted to do that seemed like fun to you. Then look up YouTube videos and tutorials online by the end of the lockdown you’d be pretty decent at that skill
4. Teaching a new skill: You can teach any skills you have. Like dancers can make little tutorials or singers can do vocal techniques all of that
5. Spending time with a good book: as a self acclaimed book geek i will assist you on this, follow @violetreduxblog on Instagram I’ll post a bunch of my favorite books that are insanely good reads
6. Listen to new music: one of The most exciting things in life is being the one to discover a new artist that nobody really knew to begin with! Trust me! So go through all the playlists necessary to get new gems
7. Spend time with your family: The second the lockdown is up the world is going to get busy, too busy for anybody to stop and think, most people are going to have school till summer and maybe after, so now spend the time you can with your family.

Remember to keep in touch with your friends on social media so you don’t feel too lonely without getting to addicted. And most importantly, pray, God is the most key factor to finding peace of mind.

Okay guys that’s all for this post, though short, if you liked it be sure to say a nice thing in the comments, you can reach me on my email on my Instagram bio or through direct messages if you need anything or have any feedback!

Stay tuned for more stuff: Interviews are restarting, you may just see your favorite content creator here, who knows!

I used to be ashamed of being who I want to be You think because I’m a woman then I really can’t be me  You think cause I’m black then I really can’t be free  Well screw all your stereotypes cause God loves all equally I wanna be the president I really want to rule  Not cause I think I’m better cause I know what I can do  Cause every life we lose it makes me feel so confused Like is this really what my country has amounted to This isn’t just a poem  It’s a clear out declaration  I am Nigerian it’s my home and it’s my nation  I’m tired of killings and I’m tired of the pain  I’m 18 and I’m scared will I see the next day  Will I see my matriculation, my certification or convocation, or will I make it to my next birthday This is a call to everyone who thinks that they can do better  Everyone who knows now won’t be forever  When you leave your country you open doors up There’s evil there’...
Hey guysssss Its me again😌😌😌 Well I'm guessing you knew that since you are on my blog and whatnot soπŸ˜‚ Okay so I wanted to do this as a middle of the year post since at my church we are going to have a massive Sunday on the 25th just praising God and going all out for keeping us till the middle of yet another year. Uhm, so I will be going to the university soon, and honestly, I haven't gotten admission yet, cause the lists aren't out for my school and all, but people always question my choice, like "Obehi why that school?" "Do you know how hard it is to get it" "The partiality is too much etc. Well they're all right and I get it, I do appreciate the concern but everything is human worry, and human mentality, what we see as a mountain from down here, God sees it as a little rock. And I just wanted to do this today since I had this surge of energy and encouragement to write. This year, it seemed to me like the devil was purposely...

BOOK REVIWS

HI HI HI HI HI☺☺☺☺☺☺ I am back from the land of bloggers block and I’m here to do book reviews, think of it as a valentines treat. For those who are like me and aren’t planning on turning up tomorrow, or doing anything social except social networking, and of course socializing with family…(UGH!) curling up with a good book is always a valentineπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’“πŸ’“πŸ’“πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’žπŸ’žπŸ’žπŸ’ŸπŸ’ŸπŸ’ŸπŸ’‹πŸ’‹ treat. I am obsessed with books that actually have their own movies which is why we see MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA This book is fantastic, I read it and I kept on reading it, the writer Arthur Golden is really golden. The Asian culture has always been beautiful to me so seeing it here has been a lovely literary experience, a core favorite of mine is how he shows the utmost transition from a poor girl in a fishing village to one of the best geisha in all of Japan, though she is drenched is modesty and she gives a classic line that I do take as a personal phras...
